Gosport residents and businesses are being invited to give their views on a plan to boost the borough’s economy.
The plan, drafted by the council, sets out how the area can increase jobs and skills and make the most of its strengths over the next decade.
When finalised, the plan – called the Gosport Economic Development Strategy 2021-2031 – will provide the framework for future growth and diversification of the local economy.
The draft strategy proposes action on themes including:
Cllr Stephen Philpott, Chairman of the council’s Economic Development Board, said: “This is a very important strategy, designed to make our borough a more prosperous place, where we make the most of our resources and the talents of our residents, and where local people can find fulfilling jobs.
“We’ve had expert advice on pulling this plan together and now we’re inviting everyone in the borough to take a look at it and tell us what they think, to help ensure we meet as many local needs as possible.”
