GIN is the established free networking club for local pre-start, start-up and small businesses that met online during the pandemic i.e. GIN with a slice of Zoom! However we are now resuming meeting in-person starting with the meeting on 18 November.
GIN @ The Bakers – a new venue and branding for the network
However due to the closure of the Boat House Café there will be a new venue and rebrand for the network. We will now be meeting at the Bakers Bar and Kitchen at Royal Clarence Marina, so the opportunity to network with that view over the harbour remains.
We would like to thank Annie and the staff at the Boat House Café for hosting GIN since it started and wish them well for the future.
More about at GIN @ the Bakers
As the name suggests we are an informal group that meets every two months to share experiences of starting and running a small business and facilitate local B2B opportunities. In addition there is also the opportunity to find out about and access business support, including funding via your hosts Enterprise South and Gosport Borough Council.
At the meetings there is mix of regular and new attendees, so it is an ideal opportunity to establish and maintain business contacts from both Gosport and the surrounding area.
GIN is co-hosted by Gosport Borough Council and Enterprise South as part of their partnership to support local start-up and small businesses. Therefore, as well as establishing and maintaining business contacts, attendees can also access free 1:2:1 business advice and be signposted to wider business support. As a result of network member feedback this support now also includes free 1-2-1 next stage business growth planning support.
