How to Make Self-Employment Work for You – free workshop 13th and 20th June

At Gosport Discovery Centre Tuesdays 13 and 20 June 11.45am to 2.30pm

To learn the methods and procedures necessary to make a success of Self-Employment:

  • Plan to start your self-employed business
  • Improve your methods and procedures if you are struggling to make your existing self-employment work successfully
  • Know how to register as Self-Employed
  • Prepare simple Income & Expenditure accounts
  • Carry out simple record-keeping procedures
  • Consider how to market you and your business

Learners should have some basic computer skills. Experience of using the internet is a distinct advantage. If you have little or no computer skills, it is strongly recommended that you also attend a relevant course to obtain these skills.

You will need to bring a pen and paper to each session in order to make notes.

This course is ideal for someone who is considering self-employment, but needs guidance on how to get started, OR for someone who is already self-employed but is experiencing difficulty with making a success of it.

Attendance is expected at each session to ensure that you get the most out of your learning experience and to minimise disruption for other learners. Please advise the venue/tutor of any absence you may have.

Booking is essential, so contact the Discovery Centre by calling the Booking Line: 02392 523463 or visiting www.hants.gov.uk/shop to guarantee a place.
