Launch event of The Training Academy and thetrainingacademy.net

The Training Academy was opened yesterday 25 April by Graham Jacobs of Trafalgar Property Consultancy and Ian Biles Managing Director of The Maritime Services Group.

Based in Gosport, Hampshire The Training Academy has taken over 25 years of distance learning and training industry knowledge and experience from within the Maritime Services Group and has used it to create an outstanding new classroom based training facility.

Managing Director Ian Biles said “Gosport’s business leaders have made it clear that there is a need for a provider of training services to local people and businesses in this area.  Initially we will be offering training to the Marine, Construction, Food and Childcare industries with many more courses and bespoke learning on the way.”

Operations Director Christine Biddle said “We are very proud of our Gosport roots and have worked long and hard with the support of Gosport Borough Council and our MP Caroline Dinenage to find premises for The Training Academy in Gosport.  We employ three current and prior apprentices from St Vincents.  With its thriving Marine and local business community we believe The Training Academy can be a huge success story for Gosport.”
